The phenomenon spread to other film series such as “Indiana Jones”, “Harry Potter” and “Lord of the Rings”. Besides that there are also fan conventions, technological innovations in marketing and all kinds of merchandise. All these things contributed to the massive growth of a worldwide subculture.
